#001 | Chapter First

Here’s my escalator pitch:

A blog about borderless inspiration and creativity, each post paired with its own soundtrack.

I’ve tried screenwriting, short stories, journalism, songwriting, y’know, all those things you sample when you’re trying to make a career out of creativity. Taking a video from the idea stage, all the way to post, was quite fulfilling for me, but writing felt more like a major step in a longer journey. It was never enough to just do that. I could sit here and whip up the best black garlic oil ramen recipe, but like- what’s the point if I can’t cook it myself?

So, after a few years of creating this and that and everything in-between, I hit a wall.

After I woke up from this spiritual concussion, I knew that making short films wasn’t my thing no more. Spending ridiculous amounts of time just writing sounded wasteful to me.

So I stopped chasing that artist-shit for a minute. I focused on editing projects for clients, had a couple of in-person jobs, seeking a team environment that freelance work would never give me.

Early 2023. I’m stuck at home for 10 days with some virus (that trendy one). I started mapping out ideas for a website that could balance all of my interests. But my early drafts of this site felt too much like some cookie-cutter portfolio.

What do I really want to do? How do I rep my style accurately? Why am I interviewing myself?

That’s when an LED lightbulb went off in my head. 

A multi-disciplinary brand. Wanderlust ambition. No limits.

Took me a lot longer than anticipated to reach this point of clarity, but here we are.

Since late 2023, I’ve been designing a streetwear line for 046VSN, video editing, and thinking of ways to create an multi-dimensional platform. That led me to start thinking of ways to involve music. This project will be my way of sharing a musical palette that hopefully opens doors or starts conversations for those listening.

So…

Episode 001 reflects a transition of purpose, going from a cloudy future to a clearer one. For anyone trying to manifest what they really wanna do into something real. Leave the BS at the door, this is all for fun.
